Honda Has Big Plans for the 2012 Year

The Japanese automaker Honda wants to announce to the whole world, "I'm back!" Though the recent natural disasters may have interfered with production and new Honda offerings for a while, the company is back up-and-running, and will be offering revisions of its top three best-sellers in the U.S. for the 2013 year: the Honda Civic, the Honda Accord ,and the Honda CR-V (for the 2012 year).

The 2013 Honda Accord officially debuted at the 2012 Detroit Auto show in coupe concept form, and the new Honda Accord coupe concept will be available for online viewing on the automaker's website, and the new 2012 CR-V was introduced in December. If these models follow Honda's traditional pattern, we can expect them to be very similar to the models that hit production lines. The new CR-V is expected to fill dealerships this month.

The three new models will also feature new engines using direct injection. Honda America President Tetsuo Iwamura describes the engines in these vehicles, stating, "These new engines are very competitive in terms of fuel efficiency and performance. They will be a reminder of Honda's strong DNA as an engine maker."1 A plug-in version of the Honda Accord will also be offered.

Stay tuned here with Barber Honda of Bakersfield, CA to receive updates about the newest Honda vehicles as they become available. In the meantime, if you have questions about any of our current models, feel free to call us at 888-503-8891, or contact us online.
