The Honda Insight is a compact car that has been manufactured since 1999. The Insight was the first hybrid vehicle from Honda and is currently sold in Canada, Europe, Japan and the United States.

First generation of the Insight was powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a CVT transmission. The second generation had a 1.3-litre four-cylinder engine mated to an electric motor and a CVT transmission. The third generation featured the same 1.3-litre four-cylinder engine with an additional electric motor and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The fourth generation uses a 1.5 liter four-cylinder engine with an additional electric motor and a CVT transmission.

This vehicle is classified as a subcompact car in the United States but is considered to be a compact car by European standards due to its dimensions. This makes it one of the most fuel efficient cars on sale today as well as being environmentally friendly.
