Taking care of your vehicle should not just stop on the internal components or those under the hood. The tires are the most important components of the vehicle. This is because when the tires are not in good working condition, all the other components of the vehicle will not work properly. The traction of your vehicle determines the speed, comfort, and general performance.

Therefore, ensure you check for the following regularly:

• Check the amount of pressure on all tires. A well-balanced pressure level will ensure that your vehicle operates optimally.
• Check the tread depth – proper care of your tire treads will ensure you get maximum traction from the vehicle. Tires with excessively worn-out treads must be replaced.
• Ensure the treads of your vehicle are maintained at the minimum legal depth recommended on the manual. For most vehicles, this will be around 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tread width.
