U.S. Spec Next-Generation Honda Clarity Debuts at New York International Auto Show

There is just one more day left before the start of the much-anticipated 2016 New York International Auto Show. As rumors, announcements, and hype continue to swirl about the industry, one particular bit of news stands out to us here at Barber Honda. Yesterday, Honda announced that it will be giving the public a first look at its all-new, next-generation Clarity Fuel Cell sedan.

The reengineered vehicle features a fuel cell stack that with an energy density that is 60 percent greater than the model it replaces. This results in a stack that is 33 percent more compact and comparable in size to a V-6 engine. The space savings allows for more room in the five-passenger lounge-inspired cabin.

The refined interior is highlighted by a floating, 8-inch touchscreen audio display with support for the latest smartphone connectivity technology. App-based features include streaming audio, navigation, and a hydrogen station locator. The Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies includes Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™) with emergency braking, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS).
