America Prepares For Honda Civic Type R

Over the past couple of years, we've been treated to a barrage of teasers and prototypes for the next-gen Honda Civic Type R. These sneak peeks had U.S. fans of the brand clamoring for news about whether the car would make it state side. Well, it will, and if it's anything like the Euro-spec model, we're in for one heck of a ride.

Plans for when the car will launch in America are sketchy as of yet. Most automotive bloggers believe it will arrive as soon as 2016 as a 2017 model year car. It definitely won't bow before the tenth-gen Civic set to debut in the fall. We can only hope that the car will live up to the already formidable reputation of its European sibling.
