Looking at the automotive news gauntlet, you might have noticed that Honda has made some real waves this year. First, it was the launch of the all-new Pilot, followed closely by the tenth-generation Civic and Civic Coupe. Now, it's the 2016 Accord's time to shine, as it's appeared on Car and Driver's 10Best listing yet again.

On the one hand, just being listed once is a big deal. The 10Best listing has been known to foster the legacies of newer automotive legends over the years. However, this year is particularly special as it's the Accord's thirtieth time being named. That's a record, in case you were wondering, and it's far from the only award the 2016 Accord has netted.

Well, we can't say that the new car being named "Top Safety Pick +" by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) is an "award," per se, but it is quite exciting. The Accord comes with many driver assist and sensing technologies, which along with a rigid chassis, gave it high marks during safety testing.
