Honda Civic Type R Getting Closer to Production

Over the past year or so, we've seen no shortage of iterations of the Honda Civic Type R prototype. Why so many, you might ask? Because of the ambitious goals that the brand has for this Euro-spec racer. Each iteration is a fine-tuned example, and they keep getting better and better.

The latest iteration of the prototype might be the best one yet. Featuring a 276 pony output under the hood from its impressively-specced turbocharged engine, it seems like Honda is closer than ever to claiming the title of "fastest lap time" set by a FWD sedan on the Nurburgring. Now if only they would give it a release in the U.S.!
