As we all know, weather can be an unpredictable and dangerous beast, and when a tornado strikes, disaster is almost certain to follow. Sadly, these violent columns of rotating air are not an uncommon sight in the Midwest, and when winds of up to 100 mph blow throw, there's not much that can be done at the time.
This kind of devastation was recently suffered in Kansas City, and as the summer season approaches, more natural disasters are sure to arise. This is where FEMA, the American Red Cross, and the National Guard come in to help with relief efforts.
Honda is a long-time supporter of the American Red Cross, and in the wake of recent disasters, the automaker has stepped up and donated $100,000 to the organization's Disaster Relief Fund. In addition to this generous gift, Honda is donating portable generators to help with immediate humanitarian relief efforts.
This isn't all. The brand is also reaching out to those who may have or Honda lease other payment due by offering waivers of late charges, extensions of loan repayment, and other services that would help with their current monetary burden.
