Though the group of twenty-five didn't win millions, they did win a prize of $250,000, which, of course, is $1,000 each before taxes. Most of the 25 lucky people involved in the pool work second and third shifts at the Lincoln, Alabama plant. Worker Bartholomew Lawson created the pool after purchasing the lucky Quik Pik at a convenience store in Waco, Georgia, near the Alabama state line.
