The USAA (United Services Automobile Association (USAA) is a Texas-based Fortune 500 company that offers services including investing, banking, and insure to military members and their families. Recently, this firm created its first-ever Top Ten for Teens List, which shows some of the best automobile choices for teen drivers. Unsurprisingly, reliable Japanese automaker Honda took three spots on the list.
According to a survey done by the USAA, the most important factors when choosing a vehicle for their teen drivers are as follows: reliability (81 percent), high safety rating (73 percent), and affordable auto insurance (62 percent).
Automotive expert for USAA, Lauren Fix, a.k.a "The Car Coach," explains, "As a parent, I know how challenging it can be to feel confident in the car your teen drives, especially if it's a much older model. USAA's Top 10 for Teens list gives parents a place to start their search for a new vehicle that gets top marks in the areas they care most about - reliability, safety and reasonable insurance costs."1
The three Honda models to make the cut are the Honda Fit, the Honda Civic, and the Honda CR-Z Hybrid.
