Honda Tackles Chinese Market with Two New Concepts

Have you heard the news? Honda has plans to build cars exclusively for the growing Chinese auto market. Its first step in this process is debuting two new concept cars at the Beijing Motor Show, occurring April 27-May 2, 2012. These new vehicles have been kept tightly under-wraps by the Japanese automaker, as only two minimal sketches of the vehicles have been revealed thus far. These sketches could represent minivan and coupe/sedan models, but we can't be sure until they are actually unveiled at the Show.

The "minivan" sketch appears to have many of the same features as the current Honda Odyssey van, even including its distinctive  "lightning bolt" above the rear wheel; however, the vehicle could be a full-size van like the Odyssey or a smaller MPV, similar to the Mazda 5 or Ford C-Max. The "sedan," for its part, looks a bit like the Honda Accord, though with more defined wheel arches.

Honda hopes to draw attention to all of its new Chinese models with these two concepts. The company will sell nearly-unchanged versions of the Honda Insight, the Honda CR-Z, and the Honda Fit later this year.

China may be receiving some amazing new vehicles, but the new Honda models available in the U.S. are just are impressive! In fact, why not stop by Barber Honda, conveniently located at 4500 Wible Rd. Bakersfield, CA 93313 and see them for yourself? We're sure you won't be disappointed!
