Honda's Unveiling a New Hybrid Plan for 2018

At the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Honda announced its plan to produce an all-new hybrid model by 2018. According to hondanews.com, this new hybrid will be built in the United States, and will the continued expansion of Honda’s electrified vehicles. It will improve upon the current two-motor hybrid system that is used in the current Accord Hybrid, and will be further modified for use in Honda’s future light truck lineup. Electrified vehicles will consist of over half of those launching within the next two years as Honda looks to continue developing its electric vehicle portfolio with the goal of having two-thirds of their sales coming from that lineup by the year 2030. Current hybrids will be improved this year with the new Clarity Electric and Clarity Plug-In hybrids, using the new Clarity Fuel Cell, unveiling this year.
